It sounds to me like you may be having an orgasm but a weak one. Occasionally, this will happen to me, where I'm aware of the contractions or of the release of sexual tension but there isn't a whole lot of sensation. I hate it when that happens!
For me, there are a couple of reasons that seems to happen. One is if there hasn't been much time between sexual activity, as though my body needs to have some level of inner tension already, before sex starts. Another is if I'm a little nervous with the man and not fully trusting and relaxed. Sometimes I think I may just be overtired or something.
A more typical, good orgasm is very obvious though. It doesn't feel at all just like more of the stimulation that led to it. I will start to feel a sort of "glow" in my clit area, at which point I know I am going to orgasm. It's a wonderful time, because I can just relax and happily wait out the bit of time before I'm in full orgasm. When it actually starts the sensations are throbbing and exquisite. Each pang of orgasm makes me pant and luxuriate in how wonderful it feels. I keep stimulating as long as possible because I don't want it to stop.
I'm very curious about the hour long orgasm WC teaches and demonstrates because I like to come for as long as possible and I'd like to know if it's actually feels different than these more finite orgasms I'm used to. I learned to make myself orgasm as a very young girl (I remember trying to teach my brother to do it when I was about 2) by rubbing my thighs together tightly. I didn't learn to do it with my fingers until this past year. I haven't looked back!
