Sometimes I wish I could just say things to my boy friend to figure out together what I do want to try. Or find out from my girl friends what kind of fun they are having without all the exaggeration or mystery. Then maybe we could talk about the great sex after that.

Anyways, if I understand what you are saying here, maybe a goal in my relationship could be honest conversation about sex. Does anyone with experience have a suggestion about where or how to start?

Even though we have been together for five years and I'd say our communication skills are good, I don't think waiting until we are in bed is the best way.
