I agree, the words we use are very important. I asked about the normal/abnormal thing because intercourse is still so often considered normal sex and everything else falls outside of that.

The WC has never said, don't have intercourse, or DOing is better than intercourse, or intercourse is bad, and they definitely don't promote or encourage giving up intercourse, but some how that's what people "hear".

What they do teach that DOing will make ALL of you other sex acts better, including intercourse, and in my experience it does!
