I'm really curious now to see if their "not going over the top" thing is similar to what I described. I also hope they respond to your question about what they see as the benefit of it. I've known a few women like your wife who can go "over the top" with their orgasms many times in a row. I find it quite delicious myself to balance on the edge of orgasm for a long time, but if I could go over the top multiple times in short succession like that I would be hard pressed to say I would not prefer that experience.
