Here's something I found that has helped me. I shave mine regularly and I use the information I found below. It really works.

*

• Waxing. Great on finer hairs. Can sting like hell. Interestingly enough many dancers use waxing. The comments were that after the first few times the hair is less coarse, and comes out easier. After a while it doesn’t hurt nearly as much as the first few times. Several use professionals.
• Sugaring. Not as good as waxing on heavier hairs. Easier on finer body hairs.

• Depilatories. They work, but can leave stubble. Depilatories for coarse hair or blackmen’s beard hair works best. Just don’t let it get on the skin inside the labia. Apply with a Q-tip while laying on the bed. Have him wipe it off with a damp cloth after the recommended time limit. Then off to the shower to clean up.
-Best effect when the area is thoroughly cleaned and very dry. Many women recommend using an exfoliant to help open pores before using the depilatory.
-Make sure the air temp is warm to help keep the pores open. This helps dissolve the hair depper in the folicle.
• Manual Shaving. The most common method.
- soak in very warm water for 10 -20 minutes. This opens the pores and relaxes the hairs making them easier to cut.
- use a double blade razor with lubricant pad.
- use a new blade each time. A dul razoe causes roughly cut and torn hairs that cause ingrown hairs, red bumps and itching
- throughly clean the area
- use Aveeno shave cream. It can help reduce red bumps and irritation
- clean thoroughly after each shave
- use an exfoliant after each shave
- use witchhazel extract (available in liquid form or in pads) to control itching as needed
- use the products for black men’s beards to control red bumps, irritation and ingrown hairs. Black Opal brand is readily available at most pharmacies.
- shave daily to avoid irritation and help the area become used to being shaved which can take a few days to several weeks. The skin needs time to heal.
- the more often you shave the sooner the area becomes used to shaving. This eventually reduces irritation or even ends it.
- some women recommended cotton or silk panties only
